With a background in Film and Advertising Directing from the China Academy of Arts, my video practice spans across narrative, documentary, animation and short-form video.

I have taken on diverse roles including director, production coordinator, content creator, editor, art direction and set designer.

Through these experiences, I’ve developed a strong sense of visual storytelling and gained insight into the workflow of both independent and commercial productions.

01 PAN YIN XIU (2024)

Pan Yin Xiu is a short film exploring death, family, and unresolved emotions. It tells the story of an elderly woman who attends her own funeral—without realizing she has died.  This film reflects the restrained and entangled expressions of affection within East Asian families, where love and apology are often left unspoken.

This video got the Bronze Prize at the 2024 Lin Fengmian Art Award

Experimental documentary
03 WALKER (2022) 

Walker is an experimental documentary that explores the lives of blind massage therapists—individuals born or cast into darkness, yet walking steadily toward the light. While most professions thrive in the sun through skill or inheritance, massage becomes the only path of survival for the visually impaired, often after losing other life opportunities due to congenital or accidental blindness.

The video was selected for the 2023 Pambujan Film Festival.

This project tells the stories of three ride-sharing drivers and explores their distinct relationships with the city. Through photography and animation, it reveals the different life choices they’ve made and reflects on the complex bond between individuals and the urban environment.
