EditorAs AI evolves rapidly, it plays an increasingly significant role across all areas of life—from daily routines and work to companionship and emotional support. In Fairy Tale, a young girl asks her AI “mother” for a hug, only to be met with silence. In an age of material abundance, emotional fulfillment is increasingly mediated through artificial intimacy.
The video questions whether AI, trained on massive datasets of images, art, and text, can genuinely emulate love—or if it only produces an illusion of it. As virtual experiences become more realistic, what do we gain, and what role do we play within these systems?
Through a quiet, intimate exchange, Fairy Tale reflects on whether the cold logic of algorithms can ever touch the most tender part of the human soul: our need to love and be loved.
